Dark Angels Primarch Lion El'Jonson

My apologies - I don't know the manufacturer of this mini. It's marketed as a "Templar Knight" and you can see an unpainted version here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/237642 Anyway - this is my first time to upload any pics to CMON, and I'm dang nervous about it. I know I have a long way to go before I can call myself "good at painting", but ya gotta start somewhere, ne? Any advice on any weak/strong points of this mini would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot :)

I agree that it's not a one-hundred percent accurate depiction of El'Jonson, but you've got to bear in mind that (officially speaking, at least) it doesnt actually have any connection to Warhammer 40k at all. It's simply a "Templar Knight", made by an independant company, not by GW. Obviously theyre walking on questionable IP ground as it is, but if they were to exactly copy, say, the Lion Helm, then they'd be in even dodgier territory. The hair colour comment is an interesting one: I also thought his hair should be dark (I was thinking black) but the owner of the mini wanted blonde, so that's how I painted it. I took a quick look through "Descent of Angels" and couldnt see any references to El'Jonson's hair colour, but it was a pretty perfunctory shufty through the book, and I may well have missed something. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to what colour The Lion's hair is?
