Another mini

Hello, I have terminal cancer and therefore after 1 year have only one Hero mini and one Squad finished :( ... I do try to paint more, but have a terminal disease and being pumped full of stuff meant to save your life, just does not make it easy, lol... 1 Year ago I stumbled into a Gw shop, one good day and went out... Fell in love with all the mini's and brought the AobR box set, started learning to paint before needing to leave :)... I hope for someone terminally ill, the model turned out good :) Please comment and offer suggestion's on how to improve :) (Painting is my Rehabilitation, takes my mind of the terminal Disease). Thank you for your time. Hero Mini -> Black Orc (Gw Fantasy) Squad -> Orc Stormboyz (5 of them)

not bad at all, for a newbie. It took you 7 months to finish a squad? that's not too bad you know? I have some minis left unpainted for about 13 years. Keep up the good work. every mini you finish takes you one step up in painting standards.

Thank you for your reply and kind words :) I admit I was in a bit of a rush and not as careful, I just really wanted to have a squad painted :) ... My Younger Brother brought me a Box set of Ork Nobz from the 40k game, it has taken 7 month's but I finished building them, No mold lines that I can see, Got their skin painted on a black base coat too. Question if I may, I have read on various forums that people either use Water or Windex for thinning their paint's, Which would be better to use?

The paint application is crisp and clean. If you want to try subtle blending, remember to thin down your paints, but the job here is nice and smooth. Unfortunately the nice even painting, highlights the mold lines on the plastic . Most noticeably on the bolter and Combat weapon/arm. Nice basing though. And you may want to have someone use a light box to take the pics for you. Nice work, even without the added challenge of a terminal illness and pain-wracked therapies! Kudos and boons to you!
