Viking Chief

Hi there, this is my latest project. Pegaso’s Viking Chief in 90mm. Again painted with every medium I own. The scenery is supposed to show a Viking chief standing on a hill and looking at the bloodbath he caused during a bitter struggle. With this little story in mind I tried to implement the impression of an evil asshole Viking in its painting. In doing so, I turned a lot of my attention to the effects of weathering. In implementing the blood-effects I tried something new. Looks as if the guy had a brain of his enemy allocated to his shield.:) But that’s how it was meant to be. Not to suppose that this model symbolizes the guardian of Italian virginity. :) Hope you like it. As usual, comments are always welcome.

Really like this one ... i guess he would look way better on a dark background. Cool painting on mostly every spot, i love the shield but miss a bit more contrast on the metals (helmet), but this can be reasoned by the very bright picture... maybe a dark background could solve this photo taking issue damm thing... Keep on happy painting! Regards Roman
