Let me start by saying this is a beautiful and excellently painted miniature. It has great atmosphere and execution. My only gripe is that the checkered pattern really lets down the rest of the miniature. It seems a bit haphazard and incomplete. If the checkered pattern was sharpened up it would make a huge difference. But again, stellar work. :)
