Hello there! This is first tyranid i put my hands on and im trying to find myself a good dark color scheme. Im also quite new to painting miniatures so dont be rude please ;p Lemme know whatcha fink.

Thanks for the feedback, Vonkrolok. You will be laughing but the reason i used gryphonne sepia for shading here is because i forgot to buy badab black wash :D erhm.. chitinous like effect.. that would be pain to do on each model im planning to paint :(
That is Seppia ink... there is a problem: never use seppia on grey, grey demands black for shadows. A new colour scheme compared to the usual.
What you need now is highlight and chitinous like effect on the carapace... you could use standard techniques presented here or on GW website (here is better) or you can use some higher level techniques like glazing, wet-blending and so on. One thing is risky though: don't go for too light combinations, they may defy the mood... this isn't an elf ;)... but then again, you're talking to a vampire count, Eldar and Kehmri owner ;)
