Lem, Iconic Halfling
So I have to say that I am very impressed with these Reaper: Pathfinder models. The amount of sculpt is just amazing and really pushes the painter to take it as far as possible. I think I pulled off what the owner of this model wanted, dark cloak on the outside with a brighter high-class inside (more information on my site). Being that this model is supposed to represent a roguish halfling from a well-to-do family I added a few freehand touches; the brocade pattern on the inside the cloak and a design on the dagger’s sheath. The sculpt already came with earrings, bracelets, and a necklace to assist with the “refined’ look. I did most of the earrings and bracelets in NMM silver as I think that went better with the model’s primarily blue color scheme. The sole exception to the silver was one bracelet on each arm which I did in a NMM black to match the rod abit. For the necklace I went with an amethyst gem look to balance with the dark purple pants. All other gems, dagger and the cloaks shoulder clasps were done with a sapphires gem technique to again keep with the blue theme, or fetish as the case may be. For the eyes I used a gem technique in an attempt to match how the Reaper display model was done, only switching it up to green instead of blue. Please let me know what you think. It was nice to have a ‘big’ set of eyes to work with. The rod of cats is described, in the treasure list, as a black wooden rod topped with a cats head with green eyes. I am pleased with how the gem eyes turned out, those are pretty tiny in real life. I also used a bit of gray in an attempt to show a little grain in the rod, though without trying to lighten the black to much. The cats head is also highlighted a bit with a dark shade of grey to pull out some of the sculpt.
