1st ever mini

Hi All, This is my first attempt at painting a mini so im looking for a general idea of how ive gone. All ive gone by is a scheme i created on DoW and painting advice from my local GW guys as well as reasearch ive done on the internets. So please rate away!

Thanks guys I appreciate the feed back, I think I went over board with the highlights and since then I have been more slective with the edges I highlight (keeping in mind light source) and finer lines as my brush skills get better. I'm a bit annoyed with the head I really wanted a more pale grayish blue bit I have limited paints ATM. Basing is definately on the cards. Thanks again guys.

This is a really good start, well done! I expect your ratings here will get higher and higher as you progress. Next you want to work on getting the transitions between the tones on your highlighting smoother by building up more layers (just a little smoother would push this one up to a 5 for me), and I'd recommend a little texturing on your base (thin layer of PVA glue, some sand on top, let it dry properly, then darkish base coat and drybrush lighter tone over the top - apologies of course if you'd already planned to add this later). BTW, that's a nice shade of blue too, it will look good when you've got a whole army together.
