Rhino Scout Car

Conversion of the original Rhino with about 1-1.5 inches chopped from the middle of the body and tracks, and wheels added. Details are either scratch built (back hatch, bars, rear wheel pod etc) or etched brass (anything thin!). Painting was done with a dry-brush and stipple technique, and then a matt varnish airbrushed on at the end.

Very original, very well executed and very well painted. It does remind me a little bit of a municipal dustcart, but this adds to its charm as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's playable with the WH40K Vehicle design rules. An up-rated engine and explosive shells in the autocannon and it's a very useful fast attack choice. It's also quite an easy conversion so I might put instructions on how to do it in the forums, if anyone would be interested.

Wonderful mini, the conversian work looks great (is that an ork gun I see on top?). I love the use of the wheels, and the shortening of the rhino was well executed. The green armor almost looks flat to me, I can see the different shades, but there isn't enough depth, maybe a final highlight. The other thing that dropped the score a little bit was the lack of certain details, such as the headlights, a little yellow dabbed in there would look better than nothing. Great job! Have fun!
