The model is meant for gaming purposes, to represent an XV-8 commander, so I went with the 40mm base that XV-8's use. The smaller base restricts his movement less for gaming purposes.

Nice conversion but I got one question. Why did you opt to use the 40mm base instead of the 60mm base that was provided by Forgeworld?
