Good start - since you asked for comments, I think a brown or dark red wash in the hair and beard and a white or silver line at the edge of the axe would make it even better. Also, those finger and toe nails seem way to clean for a gritty, warrior dwarf. Welcome back to the painting addicition..er, I mean hobby.
