Steamjack for Iron Kingdoms

This is a scratchbuilt steam powered robot from a number or sources of resin bits and other bits and pieces. Painting him was fun since he was so large, I basically went drybrushing mad as well as using some interesting underpainting such as crybrushing the steel areas with browns first before the top coat of gunmetal it gave the metal areas a really nice aged look without looking all rusty. The greenish areas were down to look like very tarnished bronze with scraped edges showing the shine through.

Would have been an 8 if there had been some detail on the forearms. Some half corregated tubing, or something. As is, while painted quite well, they look like placeholders.

I really like the great textured look of the paint, though I'm not too keen on the model itself.

I love the paint effects, very nice, and the glow from the red lights are great. The heavy metal look is sweet. I am not sure about the "smoke" effect coming out of the top, other than that, excellent work! Thanks for sharing!
