Updated pics after some tweaks suggested by feedback here and there. Lenses are now consistent, and a little shade has been added here and there to help tone in some of the freehand work. Parchments on the base also knocked back a bit.

great work. i am currently painting the same mini for a commission and find your version to be very inspiring. although i kinda have to agree on all the freehands. while they are great it's making the mini look crowded. there's so much going on everywhere that i have trouble focusing on any detail. but i LOOOOOVE how you managed to make the banner look handstitched. might have to steal that for my version. ;)
