cheers. yeah will try and get a better picture up. for this piece i purposly made the layers more obvious on the fur areas so to try and immitate it. but you are right that i do need to work on my blending.
I saw your request for comments and decided to have a closer look and see if I could provide some constructive comments. First thing that is obvious is that the flash photograph doesn't help; it gives glare points on the highest colour on the nose. Also the “Head On” shot reduces the amount of the figure that is visible and therefore what we are being asked to comment and vote upon. As to the painting; in the enlarged image the segregations between colours is highly visible and sharp, which on a gaming piece for the table top isn't bad but for competition work it needs to be smoother blending and less obvious.
