Blood Raven Sternguard Veteran

This is my fifth mini ever painted, i guess, and I've never painted anything before. So I'm new to the hobby. I dig W40K, both lore and DoW, so I decided to try to paint a Blood Raven eventually. I had Vallejo Model Color paints and some GW metallics, and some crappy russian Zvezda for black, unfortunately. This one seems a bit purple, because I overdid with Baal Red wash over Vallejo Red. Any tips are welcome, because I feel that my white and gold are not that good. Pale Sand (Bone) still gives me headaches.

This is a brilliant paint job for someone of your experience! Do the base well and highlight the blacks a bit more and you'll have a great figure. Perhaps do a little lining on the front of the helmet... Red and white can be troublesome to paint consistently well, which you seem to be on top of.
