Flames of War 15mm Major Von Luck in a PzIVH

Hi, This has to be my favorite tank I've ever painted from 15mm - 28mm. There are so many little details on every side that I kept spinning him around in my display case. Some of the metallics have a nice patina and the armor camo pattern has been used to indicate that the Major here is a master of stormtrooper tactics and aggressive recon. This is a display figure but it can be easily used as the commander of your army. - The Iron Painter

Great info, Wombat! I've got a few more tanks coming down the pike and I think you'll be happily surprised. :) I wanted the collar to be red just to give him some pop, being as he is 15mm. I tried the traditional colors and from a distance the details just got lost. I do see the benefit of historical accuracy, however, and appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Piping is the rim of color that appears on the waffenfarbe (shoulder boards) and the collar. see this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffenfarbe As for the metals there would never be whole plates on the tank that were metallic, worse case they would be the undercoat color, in the case of this mini at this time of the war it would either be the yellow color or red oxide.

I appreciate the feedback. I had a feeling some of the low scores I was receiving might be due to color variations. When you say piping, can you explain? Also what color were you thinking?
