A commission I did for some friends of the Stargate SG-1 team. Although the painting was pretty straight forward, it was hard getting the right amount of contrast between the uniforms, and the weapons, since all the reference photos they gave me showed them as being all black from head to toe. other than that, it was just a matter of making sure the miniatures faces matched the actors profiles.

Not bad. Where are the minis from? I'm not sure where you looked for reference material, but you'd've got a better effect if you'd gone with the olive drab look seen here http://www.djbernie.co.uk/photogallery/photo26003/sg1.bmp Highlighting black is a real challenge, especially given the shiny finish.
