Hrjof, Norse Champion

Hello all! I´m a long time reader, first time poster! At last, my first post! Lets see, I converted and painted this model in one night for the local store painting contest held in Valencia ( Spain). I feel I did quite a good job with such a limited time! For anyone interested, parts used: Catachan head ( "shaved down"), Catachan left arm, Marauder body, Marauder banner pole, Blade of the axe from the Ork 40k sprue, uruk - hai pike! and some green stuff here and there. I´m quite happy with the effect I achieved for the blood ( I will post some more close-ups later), aswell as the rock effect with the base. Snow is reallistic if you have the model in your hands. Runes and banner are free hand. What I wanted with this model is to emphasize the barbarian, celts, ancient germans theme... in other words: excellent physique, huge weapon, runes and of course tatoos! Like most people direct influences come from Braveheart ( look at the face!). Please, Let me Know what you think! Thank you in advance.

Awesome job with the painting, but his left arm needed to be filled with putty or something by the shoulder- the dark line makes it look stuck on. Still an awesome conversion though!
