Exalted hero of Chaos
I always wanted to paint a Gamesday figurine so when I saw this one, The Exalted Hero of Chaos for Gamesday 2009, on Ebay for a reasonable price, I jumped at the opportunity. Unfortunately, this figure intimidated me for a long time due to the insane amount of detail it has. After studying a few more NMM and weathering tutorials however I felt ready to tackle the challenge. The first hurdle was the conversion. It's a fantasy fig and I wanted to use it for 40k. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be though. I just replaced the arms with 40k arms and slapped on a backpack. The shield looks a bit odd but I'm sure someone can find a fluffy reason to explain its presence (maybe he's a surfer?).
