It may not be the best picture, or even a very good picture, but one can tell there's some high-class work here. The cloak trim design, for example, has been carefully highlighted. Regions where different parts of the figure meet (where the hands meet the tunic sleeves, for example) are clean and precise without resorting to dark-lining, which I've always thought is mostly grossly overdone. The Faux Metal effect on the sword is good without being brilliant or over-shiny. Some work needs to be done on the cloak, however, in terms of shading and highlighting; the highlights are too abrupt. Try glazing with a very thin mix of the cloak base color (1:20 paint:water should do the trick). That will soften those highlights some and draw them together. Not sure if the face is a painting problem or a sculpting issue, but the miniature's left eye is substantially larger than the right; it makes him look overly psychotic. Anyway, even with the scan, it's worth at least a 7. Work on the cloak and the face and this could easily be worth an 8 in my book.
