Templar Lightbringer

Hi, I am 14 and just learning how to paint. This is my first miniature ever. My Dad comes to this site all of the time and took these pictures for me (his name is Lurch). I know this is my first one and its not great, but I hope to get better with time. So tell me what you think of it. Thank you.

Not bad at all for a first work. What color and brand of primer did you use? My suggestion, from painting 2 of this exact piece so far: prime in black, then dry brush the skin and cloth with white. This allows you to get the best out of your metallics and still do the proper shade work on the skin and cloth.

Not bad at all, for a first mini. Paint seems smooth enough on the cloak, but it looks a bit thick on the armor and sword. Thin your paints a bit more, do several thin layers and wait for the first coat to dry before starting the second.

I am reluctant to vote as I could not do this myself but I think you deserve some credit and critique. I would vote higher but it does need a bit of work compared to some of the other stuff I have seen on this site. HOWEVER, I REALLY like the color scheme you have here. Simple but nice. Keep up thwe good work, are much further along in expertise than I am.
