Space Marine Dark Liberator

One of the few SpaceMarines i have painted but many more to come..it took me longer to think of a color to paint it then to finally paint it... i went for black and silver and used chainmail on the shoulderpad trims but used boltgun metal on the fades and chips and washed it over a bit with devlan mud i was careful not to wash over the eyes to try to bring them out among the dark color i really like the way it turned out and it helped me learn to paint better..hope you like it.

newdoctor: Not to piss on your troll-parade, but that head is from the Tactical Squad box and has been used extensively on Tactical Marines by the 'Eavy Metal team and countless of hobbyists. If that's your definition of "odd" then you haven't seen much...

Instead of attempting fades and chips (which arent really working on this mini) you should get the basics of painting down first before you try other techniques. By trying to get chip in one metallic color close to another metallic color, it makes it look a mess. Eyes need touchup work...a devestator head on a normal marine body...odd, just odd.
