I agree with the paint job not being so spectacular but I also side with idea of being creative with your models... As they are yours and you can do whatever you like. People do need to be more creative and now with the new stuff you can actualy field him with legal rules. So good job on the originality I respect that.
What's the point of playing a game if every now and then bending the rules a little and having some fun with it? This model took quite awhile to paint actually trying to get it to look like some sort of camoflage wasn't that easy. It was based in a flat black and the camo scheme was done in boltgun metal, and codex gray. I wanted it to look dull enough to pass as camo bot still look metallic. They are necrons after all. I also figured an extended gauss cannon would pack a liitle more punch than a flayer and have a longer range suited for a sniper. I would like to see more players have a little fun with the game and not try to be so serious about it all the time. Show me what you've got gamers!!!
