Orkwarrior

I posted for a longer time nothing here, but here once again a newer piece of work. It is an normal Orkwarrior from the Ork Klanbox. He is painted by me in NMM and some other typicall effeckt stuff I really often use. I worked with severall colours of different companys and tried to let the coloursheme and colours base on the original paintjob by Rackham. Hope you enjoy it cheers Sash

I really like your use of colours and textures on this one, but perhaps theres just a bit too much going on for it to really gel together.

Rach has a point. There is something about this pic that is a little wierd. It might be the light or the background. I think your colours are way cool, especially on the blade and on the "arm armour". It might be a little too pink/pastel on the thing on his back and on the shield (it's supposed to be a Lion shield, right?). You are really going in the right direction with these colour experiments. Keep it up :)

On looking closely this is pretty cool - the effects on the big blade are rather neat, although on the shoulder the multiple colours make it look more washed out and kinda messy. To be honest I only gave it that closer look because I saw your post on the Headblast forum... On a first look it doesn't look so good, I think too much lighting or something, the skin is a bit flat and some of the definition is lacking. So I was heading toward a 6 for 'neat idea, lousy execution', but in actual fact the execution is pretty good :) . Hence the 7. Better pic might have me leaning toward an 8 as I really like the novel use of colour.
