Freelancer of Mousillon
Hey all, Another one of my entry for the Carpe Noctem forum's Golden Bat painting contest. The idea behind the piece came about after I was reading some fluff about the Bretonnian Dukedoms. I envisaged a once noble and gallant warrior who had slipped into Mousillon's grasp only to become a guardian of the realm in the form of a Marquis or something similar. The mini itself is the iconic GW Mordheim Freelance Knight on Foot with minimal conversions done to it; namely the eye being drilled out and reshaped, the ear being removed and the gauntlet becomming a skeletal hand with some carefull filing. In addition I also added another pouch from my bits box to hide some of the carnage after reshaping the hand. All in all I had a lot of fun painting this little guy. The black armour was a first for me and the greatest challenge. I also need to acknowledge Jakob Nielsen (JRN) for his inspiring blog and tutorials as well as some advice on how to make really cool trees. Thanks! Comments and criticims are always welcome. Please, please do give me feedback. I like to know how or where I can improve! I will be trying to improve the photos. I have recently made myself a light box and I'm still tweaking it.
