Brother Evitus; Angels of Vengence Sergeant
Brother Sergeant Evitus, 5th Co, 7th Squad Veteran Sergeant, Deathing. Brother Evitus came to be recognized as having great potential as a leader battling the forces of chaos in the medusa sector. Routing a particularly stubborn squad of Chaos Marines from a vital stronghold. The forces fought desperately, whirring chain-axes biting deep into the ceramite armor of the faithful, chainswords growling and struggling to penetrate the accursed armor of the traitorous Chaos legion, blows stuck quickly back and forth... Struggling, the Chaos Champion, a chosen of Khorn struck down Sergeant Sheol, beheading the Marine in a shower of gore. The Marine line wavering, Evitus sprung forward, knocking aside the lifeless bodies, and retrived Sheol's masterfully crafted Power Sword. A bellow rising from his lungs, he swung the powerful weapon, two handed over his head, bringing it crashing down upon the traitor. His attempt the block was futile, the sword cleaved effortlessly through the helve of the cursed axe, and through his neck, deep into his chest. The Marines, spurred on by this act of courage quickly overcame the rest of the leaderless Chaos forces. Evitus has since, time and again, proven his resolve in purging the world of the menace of chaos. Shown his courage to be unsurpassed, and his timing in strikes to be impeccable. His squad has even brought the Fallen back to repent for thier sins. For his accomplisments, he was allowed to display personal heraldry upon his armor. However, knowing that his actions alone would be useless, without the undying support of his fellow Battle Brothers of the 5th Co, particularly 7th squad, he petitioned the chapter's Grand Master to extend the honor to his squad. His request granted, and to easily distinguish those under his charge, the Chapter Icon and tactical Squad markings have been reversed.
