High Elf Mage

i painted this model up for my high elf gaming army. i though she looked all right so im posting it on this :). the conversion work had to stay very simple and sturdy incase of gaming bumps etc. so i only changed the top of the staff. the colour scheme fits in with the rest of my army as does the base (which im sure you'll like to know has been improved since the photo).

thanks a lot all comments are more than welcomed. i wouldnt give it more than 7 myself, its only a gaming model. personally the only bit i like is the face and even at that its a bit rough, the eyes are truly awful tho. the hair was originally blonde, and looked nicer but detracted from the face a bit much (the best bit of the model IMO) i was thinking of a bit of NMM but im not really a fan, and she needed to fit in with my high elves.

This is easily above a 6- but tops out around a 7. I like the white as you have it done but many will likely subtract a point or 3 because of the abrupt transition from white to grey. It works for me but others are fussy lol. The face is particularly good- the shading of the cheekbones has left me envious. Also good definition on the collar bone and neck. The staff is well done but it is likely that people will find it distracting as they are used to NMM these days. don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with it near as I can tell but people are creatures of habit lol. Hmmm to make it an 8? The white robes like I said and likely the hair. It is sort of 'detailess' in this pic. Please take all of this as constructive. If you slapped that mini down on my D&D table I'd be ooo-ing and aaahh-ing so don't think it is bad or anything :)
