Imperial Fists Space Marine Champion

I initially go a bit darker than most people on my imperial fists, then highlight all the way up, i think it gets more depth of color on their armor. Really happy with how he turned out. There are NO metallics on this model, any gold, silver, bronze or gun metal is hand painted. *Note* I dont base my models, i prefer flat black bases, I personally believe it puts better focus on the model, but each to their own! Enjoy!

thanks guys :) and irimi: I use iyanden darksun as my base, then use a heavy wash of gryphon sepia, once thats FULLY dry, i slightly dilute some iyanden dark sun, and do nice clean even opaque layers over the top of the armor, on the parts i eventually want yellow. After fully dry, I then repeat the process, but paying less attention this time to the darker areas of the model. I now repeat the process again, but this time adding some sunburst yellow to the mix, paying more attention to the light affected areas of the model, and less to the darker ones as i go along. I keep repeating this with nice thin coats, always blending to the join of where you are either running into the dark or the light part. I repeat this all the way up untill its pure watered down sunburst yellow, perhaps even with a little skull white mixed in. At this point too i get a really fine brush, and run around all the gaps, shadows etc again in the original gryphon sepia wash, so there is a nice heavy contrast. Now finish up the model with some pure sunburst yellow highlights, and even less pure white skull white highlights, and there you go, a bright, vibrant fist model instead of that normal flat yellow. Yes im aware most people dont use sunburst yellow,but you cant argue with the results, it comes up nicer i dont care what anyone says lol! :D
