Honoratus Zenas, Space Marine of the Brothers of Salvation

I finished yet another Space Marine (yay!). This is Honoratus Zenas, which is the equivalent of a sergeant in the chapter of the Brothers of Salvation. Painted this one for a duel, and really do hope you like him. I'm quite happy because I feel this marine is the last step on the road to my techmarine - I never dared to paint red because I simply messed it up everytime I tried. Save for the robes, I'm really happy with this one - even with the black parts. :-)

nice paintjob, but now is the time for advice and contructive critisism. the armour look nice and well painted but its could use some juicy edge highlighs and a bit more blending and thinning of paints. the face could use slighly more tone and so could the hair. but i must say the cream-white robe area is very nice and deserces a 7 or 8, but bacause of the other parts, it doesnt. the mini is also very unbalanced on the rock and not straight, its leaning to the side alot. try and use these pointers to help your mini painting in the future. i know it seems a little annoying to hear all these critisisms and pointers for your mini's.but its all part of the learning process and getting better. we all need some advice sometimes, hope you use it to your advantage, keep painting. cheers. paintingpatrick.
