how is the paintjob flat? i can see different shades of oranges and reds all glazed down and then he went for line highlighting. i cant see any flaws. the model is so meticulous - it must have taken a great deal of time.
Acually, I'd give you a seven (6.5 to be even more precisely) for the paintjob, simply because in some places it lacks care and is even somewhat flat.
What makes it an eight is the successful combination of both classic and new bits, the overall look and how much attention and devotion to your army I can (or believe I can) read from the paintjob. Very well done! :-)
