I think I am figuring out how to improve my scans. This one looks sharper on my PC. I hope it looks better on the web. I tried to do some skin shading and highlights. This is my first attempt at it. I may go back and improve this mini after a few helpful comments. I am having a lot of fun working to improve my painting and my scanner.

The scanner is TOO good ... you're seeing a lot of unwanted details you'd never see in a photo. I think this is a well-painted figure, but I wanted to add that in addition to clipping the connections between the blades, you should slightly twist the upper arm so that the figure looks a little more life-like.

Thank you very much for the helpful comments. I am going to see if I can separate the two swords and then repaint them. I am also going to try blacklining the areas you mentioned. I have seen other people make this comment on other minis. I think it will look great. I also agree that the purple doesn't work. I think I will try something different. Thanks again!

You definately should have disconnected the hilt of her dagger from the tip of the sword before you started painting! A little bit of clipping and some filing would hae taken care of it nicely. It's an interesting color scheme you've chosen for this evil lady. :) I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish with the purple on her dagger--magic, I guess, but it doesn't seem immediately obvious to me why it's the center and not the edges of the blade that are glow-y. :)
