Northern Wanderer (Verthandi Burning Ice)
Here's my last painted miniature. I had a great time painting it and I think that Iâ??ve improved a lot and learned a lot of things with this miniature, the sculpture was fantastic. This mini has a very special meaning for me as it is the first 54 mm I've ever painted. It won the "general fantasy silver" at the painting contest "Soldat de Plom 2011" which took place on Girona (so I suppose you can imagine my satisfaction with this particular paintjob), anyway, I know I still have a lot of work to do and that the miniature is not perfect. Thanks to all the people that made this mini possible and special thanks to Beren5556 (specially for the great time we had painting together and all the advices he's given me) and Crysen. The miniature represents a kind of ranger/pathfinder/wanderer that is heading north, running from her past live (that has given her a lot of great moments but also) and home to find the real meaning of her existence. At the top of a mountain, tired and cold, standing against the greatest blizzard of our times, she stares at the path she has yet to walk while she remembers all that she left behind.
