Skink

After painting couple of Space Marines I wanted to paint something different, really different ( no more power armours for at lest 2 months ;) ). After searching my miniature box I found plastic skinks. Ok, why not, I thought. I haven`t imagined that painting them will be so fun and so easy. Even though I was painting quite fast the results were more than good. After painting 30 of them Iwanted to use them in a game. But there was a problem - I`m not playing lizadmen and don`t want to (but this thought crossed my mind). But then idea struck me - hey, why not use them in a special scenario in WH40k? I grabbed piece of paper, pencil, wrote the rules and background - and that was it - highly enterteining singleshooter scenario. It even started a campaign I and my friends have been playing for the last 2 months.

For the fern leaves I`m using stuff you could possibly buy in most model shops (at least in Poland :) ). Unfortunatly I don`t know how it`s called in English - it`s a kind of tin sheet with a shape on it (it`slike pushed on, casted) - usually a plane cocpit(altimeter etc.). All you have to do is to cut cut it and paint it.

Very nice, the colour selection is great, and they look both menacing and colourful. What did you use for the fern leaves?

Yup. Great color choice. And the leaves really add too. I can't imagine an army like this!
