Wonderful to see an old classic still around- this was the WD era that got me inerested in the game and got me started on Minis and SciFi art. I loved it then and its still awesome.

Oh ye of little faith!! Of course it's mine. The head of the marine is from the one of the early mk V11 figures that were produced as metal torso/legs and plastic arms/weapons and backpack sprue. The head was cut from one of the bareheaded torsos (with the neck carved fron the upper torso) and attached to another bareheaded torso that had its head removed and the suit neck area drilled out . The neck seals were then remade from milliput. The legs of the figure (one raised to stand on the detached shoulder pad) were made from several of the legs in the range and the hand holding the bolter was remodelled to appear thet the marine had moved his finger from the trigger as he reloaded. The bolter mag slot was drilled out and remodelled with a scalpel. A mag was taken from another bolter with enough material from the stock to remodel the upper part of the magazine . The visible shell is a carved piece of sprue. I always thought that this particular figure was the inspiration for the large-scsle marine that Forgeworld produced several years later although they claim it was a coincidence. Believe me now? Oh, and thanks for the generous score. Regards, Dwart (David)
