For Salute I wanted to present a whole squad of figures in the blue and gold armoured effect I first tried out two years ago. I already had one privateer press piece painted that way and one of the Thomas David sculpts so with about three weeks to go I finally managed to drag myself away from Skyrim and thried to remember how to use a paint brush :) I had problems with remembering the correct colours for achieving the yellow at first so I biased the painting towards the blue tones. I just about got it sorted when I was working on the second figure but didn't have enough time to come back and re-work the arms before Salute, otherwise I would have liked to do the raised panel on the gauntlets in yellow to break the colours up a bit. In the end the squad took first place in their category as well as best sci-fi entry, so I will try and get a proper squad picture posted later.
