Excellent brushwork on the face and on the scarf. The stark contrast brings out the differences between skin and cloth! Excellent work and excellent historical bust!
Great face, it's just too bad you didn't put as much effort into the rest of the miniature. The smooth blending on the face contrasts starkly with the rougher blending on the scarf and the whole rest of the miniature lacks the contrast of the face.The more of these I see the more I think that there are a number of good tutorials on painting faces, but less on painting cloth.
