Satanosaur
Many are the strange and horrible creatures that dwell deep in the swamp forests of Lustria but none are more terrible than the Satnosaurus. Huge and fearsome these great lizards are famous for their insatiable appetite for flesh, which drives them ever onwards in their hunt for prey, and their destructive power which means they need fear no other beast (except, perhaps, a bigger Satanosaur). Evil of aspect and wicked of disposition these mighty lizards had always been considered too terrible to capture let alone train and wise men avoided them at any cost. Few even dared to venture far into their cursed forest homeland but one who did was Big Glen, the notorious ogre mercenary. He it was that found the lost valley where the beasts nested and with careful skill stole an egg from under the very nose of the largest mother Satanosaur. Through careful nurturing he managed to hatch the chick and with an unusual tenderness, opposed to his normally vicious nature, raised it as his own. The feelings of mutual "love" that these two, otherwise cruel and blood thirsty monsters, have for one another has been the cause of much wonderment and even some amusement amongst the ogre tribes but it is thought that their mutual hatred for all other living creatures combined with their love of blood and violence has formed a bond between them like that of a doting mother for her mewling offspring. Because of their legendary skills for causing violent death Big Glen and his scaly pet are famed and feared across all the worlds and lucky is the general who has them fighting for his side, unfortunately however, owing to their homicidal lust for killing it is sometimes difficult for them to remember whose side they're on! I've wanted to do a dino/war machine for years and finally took the plunge. The Satanosaur model is the T Rex by Monsters in Motion (great model but terrible casting!) Big Glen is the GW Ogre Tyrant but with new arms, everything else is scratch built. It was very VERY hard work and took an age to do but it's by far my favorite model - ever! It's painted with acrylics and some GW washes. Please comment and score it.
