Flying Polyp - Call of Cthulhu

Not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how membranous cysts turned out. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Thank you for your kind Words - even if you rated it a bit high, I am not one to complain. I'm fairly happy with the flesh tones and quite happy with the slimy pinks. The purple and light blue I would definitely do differently if I was ever to paint another polyp - too many pastels on what is supposed to be a grotesque alien horror. In response to the flying base thing, my preference has always been to work around it to avoid the "butt rod" syndrome. But I've been slacking on bases for too long and am definitely ready to start experimenting with green stuff. Cheers!

As a fellow Cthulhu fan, I am looking to find one of these old figures to paint. When I do I will use yours as a reference! The fleshy tone works well as does the raw looking reds. Have you ever considered basing it differently? Flying bases are cool, and I often use green stuff to adapt pre-slotta figs to bases...
