Forgeworld Chaos Dwarfs Bale Taurus

Received model as gift for Christmas. Painted my little tooshie off, had the wonderful idea of an homage to Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn -- specifically the red bull. King Haggard's castle looms over the unicorns caught in the surf.

I have two criticisms. 1 - The blending on the horns could be quite a bit smoother, which could be achieved pretty easily by adding more layers and using a glaze to smooth everything out. 2 - The red flesh could similarly use a glaze to help deepen the shadows and even out the highlights. That said, the freehand on the wings is beautiful! I really like the imagery there, and the colors are very striking. Nicely done!
