A nice rock, and maybe a tree stump would be good for the base.
I would suggest planning out your color pallette so that the color compliment each other, rather than clash. Nice job though!
I don't know if it's the sculpt or the paintjob, but my budgerigar looks fiercer than this birdie. A bigger pic of the whole mini would be better. The griffon's colors are mostly quite pale and the rider's colors therefore seem to be like a slap in the face to me. Either less powerful colors on the rider or more powerful ones on the griffon would do the trick. The griffon's pink eyes look a bit odd. For the base: more rocks, build up some higher ground.
