I'll let others who can paint better comment on the paint job. But I really like the composition of this scene: it is hard to create dynamic, alive scenes with "only" two models, but this is a really cool example of telling a story on minimal space. The poses are great, and the direction of gestures and looks creates a very impressive result. Great creative effort!
Another cool aspect is the contrast between the strong, clean, bright colors of the main characters vs the dark, grimy base.
