This model was done about 4 months ago and i would like to get some comments based on what i have done the photo of the model is fairly poor but i want to see what people think about it

The photo is good, but a bit small to make a very accurate judgement.
My first impression is that the painting is very good: the sort of painting that will win a local competition or, executed across a whole army, a "Best Painted" award at a major tournament. The basing is well-executed, if a little drab for a display piece. The freehand is high quality, albeit unoriginal.
I would have been very happy to have painted this for a client, but if I were aiming to enter a Golden Demon or Crystal Brush, I would aim for smoother highlighting transitions, more freehand opportunities and a greater sense of narrative. For example, the marine is clearly moving quickly, but the banner fails to support that sense of motion and urgency. He shows no signs of battle on his armour nor any indication of the nature of his foe. All absolutely fine for small competitions and army painting awards, but not enough for the bigger leagues.
