I just started painting 3 weeks ago, this is the first attempt and since some of you guys seem to be paint gods, i thought it would be a good idea to post a picture and ask for some advice. Oh yeah, i almost forgot: i know i still have to base, but i haven't bought any "basing" material yet, :-) thx-a-lot(r)

7 - considering this is your 1st mini ever. Also, try to get rid of the moulding lines. I belive I can see one along his shoulder pads. You can use even a xacto knife for that job, it improves the overhall looks of the mini a lot. Keep it up!

Very good for your first mini. For an Uruk you might try basecoating the armour blacka and then drybrush with silver. This provides a much darker and weathered effect, as is fitting for one of this kind.
