Marneus Calgar and Honour Guard

I decided to revisit this set as an entry to this years UK GD. I made every effort to improve on the armour - especially the NMM - which I was very pleased with. I also pushed myself further with the freehand detailing - trying to make it smaller in detail and more of it in general. I am really happy with how the unit turned out. Despite my best efforts they still failed to make it past the first cut. Any comments welcome.

I really like this unit and I had intended to enter this to GD myself this year but didn't have the staying power to work through it. You've done really well and the unit is very striking. Your contrasts are great and the light placement is spot on. IMO you just need to smoothen you transitions where I can clearly see between highlight stages. you get that right and you're pushing a 9+ from me. Cheers Will
