This is my very first Mini. I haven't painted a model for 20yrs (and that was Tamiya). My son got me interested in Warhammer 40K and I just starting to paint my first army. Any comments/tips would be very much appreciated. The one thing I have learned already is 2/3 coats of thinned paint looks a hell of a lot better than 1 ;-)

impressive - for a first mini it looks very detailt..... and also: now i see what can be made out of a simple marine!! thought ultra marines looks boring but now i've got to change my opinion... nice work
