Diorama La Querelle Magique (elf mage and sorceress)
Here is a diorama that I entitled The Magic Quarrel, and that I offered to my boss, to thank her for having hired me. Miniatures are sculptured by Julie Guthrie (for Grenadier, in 1987): 825. Elf Mage; 854. Elf Sorceress. It is to say that they are the real 25mm: not so easy to paint! Well, it is not great brilliant, especially compared with the dioramas of the great painters of this site, but I am not too dissatisfied all the same with me. I tried to stress more shadowing and enlightenment (highlighting ? sorry, I’m not perfect in english), and I finally passed in a satiny (or neutral ?) varnish, rather than in a brilliant varnish. Voici un diorama que j’ai intitulé La Querelle Magique, et que j’ai offert à ma boss, pour la remercier de m’avoir engagé. Les figurines sont sculptées par Julie Guthrie (pour Grenadier, en 1987) : 825. Elf Mage ; 854. Elf Sorceress. C’est dire que ce sont des vraies 25mm : pas si facile à peindre ! Bon, c’est pas super génial, surtout comparé aux dioramas des super peintres de ce site, mais je suis quand même pas trop mécontent de moi. J’ai essayé d’accentuer davantage les ombrages et les éclaircissements, et je suis enfin passé à un vernis satiné, plutôt qu’à un vernis brillant.
