I agree. Darks need to be darker and the lights need to be lighter. just seems a bit dull to me. You do clearly have some painting ability. keep it up, an keep practicing.
Hmmm I don't think this deserves to be below tabletop quality. Just look at his eyes! They are perfect! The rest is a little flat. Try shading and highlighting a little more to bring out the details :)
