Thank you for the kind advice! I agree with what you said; I struggled a lot with this mini and learned a fair bit about shading. Better contrast is really what it needed.
I believe the next one is looking better!
Well I would definatly try and use some wash to show how well defined the model is. Try with a very thin one at first, and while it dries remove excess wash that might pool with water, if the model gets too dark for you after that, try drybrushing the higher and/or highlighter surfaces.
Also nothing wrong with your pictures what so ever, they came out very nicely lit and you can see all the details :)
