Pinup forsaker

Wow, that’s some really bad scoring can anyone suggest what is so bad with this? I’m aware that I’m a long way from being the most talented painter in the world, I am learning and improving though. I actually though some of the blending on the skin and the sword on this was reasonably good, not up there with the best but better than it seems to be scoring, I’m also aware that the metallic’s need a lot of work which was going to be my next area to work on my next mini but now I think I need to fix whatever is wrong with this.

Thanks Gepzo and Sunday Taco, there all things I can learn from. I'm a little happier now that votes have come in to push it upto a 3.1 - when I posted it was down as a 2.2 which is what worried me, I was hoping for around 4.5 so that isn't too bad.

I replied on your other picture, of the forsaker's backside. Simple answer: people are HARSH online. If you look at the mini objectively, you can see splatter spots on the skin on the legs, and the metals are very bright, with no shadow at the transition to skin...basically, you are losing points because it looks unfinished. Part of the problem is you're actually magnifying the mini, and that makes the problem areas bigger.

If you want detailed feedback, post this on the forums, but from what i can see, honestly, you need to thin your paints first of all, secondly the shadows need to be darker everywhere and highlights brighter. additionally edges need to be defined and ALL parts of the mini painted (No primer showing!)
