this is one of the first mini's i've painted. so i know it's not perfect, but i am still pretty happy with it! i cut off the sword and modded the staff, made the top with miliput. her face looked better and then i kinda messed it up by trying to add more detail. i might redo it. her cloak is coated with a watered down white gold colour.

yeah, i am glad with how it turned out, but it's strange to look at photographs of it where you can see so much more detail than with the naked eye. it shows pretty much all the errors, although perhaps this is a good way to learn and self-critique! thanks a lot for your comment :)

You should feel pleased. Whilst in quality terms, there's clearly much to improve and build upon - hence the "tabletop quality" rating - it is clear that you are already experimenting with more advanced techniques. Practice and time are all that's required and, from a look at this, I expect we'll see rapid and significant improvement from here.
