Demon Prince out of a C'tan Nightbringer

Hello everybody. I painted this Nightbringer as a Demon Prince with lore of Death to play after the new Warriors of Chaos book. I always loved the mini and now I can finally play it. According to the figure's background I gave it a simple black and white colour scheme and put it on an ice and fire base. I added a little orange and blue to break up the black and white. I was tempted to put a little freehand on, because I know it is kind of a must have, but I really think this figure should be without one. I gave my best so I really hope you like it.

Hey Christian, this is great stuff. Black is an incredibly hard color for blendings, it can happen so easily that you loose the overall black look of the model and basically make is look like a stone statue instead, but you pulled it of really well. My only minor point of critisism would be that in my opinion the blue of the scythe looks a little bit too "rich" and colorful for the overall sinister mood of the model. I'd probably perfer a darker, or alternatively much brighter base color, but that's probably just personal preference. Oh, and the topping of the cake would be some OSL effects from the lava at the bottom of the cloth. And I agree, the mini looks better without a freehand :-). All the best from NYC, Florian.

I would love to paint that model. GJ on the paint job and I especially like the fact that it looks so good with only black, white and blue.
